This design was inspired by the intricacy and craftsmanship of the Hawaiian chief's woven helmet, worn in days past. The concentric circles are representative of the woven detail of the ʻieʻie plant's fiber cords.
The design captures the essence of how detail oriented the craftsmen of old were, and pays tribute to the native arts.
